Bramble House is currently the largest UK grocery and gift shop in Eastern Canada, with an expansive range of foods and gifts from the British Isles. As a small family business, they offer a wide range of British, Scottish, and Irish treats and sweets, varied enough to suit any palate and to tickle any fancy. For a proper tea and a good biscuit, we recommend PG Tips, or Yorkshire Gold Tea, with a McVitie’s Dark Chocolate Digestive… Ooh! Or perhaps a Jaffa Cake?

Along with the mind-boggling assortment of teas and biscuits, you can find many hard-to-find favourites – like the “real” Cocoa Pops, or Camp Coffee Extract, or Lucozade – to the familiar pantry staples like Pickled Onions, Heinz Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce, Salad Cream, Marmite, as well as Colman’s and Bisto products, and healthy Irish and Scottish oatmeal.

In the Tuck Shop, you can tuck into English chocolates (e.g., Cadbury, Nestle, and Galaxy) and sweets (Bassett, Taverner’s) including Jelly Babies and yes: they do have Thornton’s Toffee.

There are beverages, crisps, and at least three different Scottish shortbreads … Fancy a soda scone? A steak & kidney pie? Scottish meat pie - choose from the range of f frozen meats, pastries, and pies, as well as soup for those nights when a bit of warmth comes from someone else’s home-cooking.

Aside from the food, you can scoop up Scottish wool blankets, scarves, kilts, capes, and women’s skirts, as well as the much sought-after Celtic and Heather Gem jewelry. For the football fans there are T-shirts and assorted paraphernalia for all the Premier League teams; for the Corrie fans an assortment of Coronation Street merchandise. There are UK magazines (we always have the latest issue of Top Gear and Rugby World!) books, DVDs, CDs, teapots and tea cozies… more than you could imagine, and just enough to make a visit worthwhile.
